Yes. MS Excel files can be embedded in Playbooks to collaborate on or to share as part of a report or plan.
Playbooks enable users to collaborate on plans, reports, or, operational guides.
Many users want to connect or embed a MS Excel file into a playbook for dynamic reporting or planning.
The end result will look something like this based on your embed settings. Security settings are managed by your Microsoft Admin and on your personal sharing settings within MS Excel.
To do that follow these steps.
- Open your MS Excel file via the web viewer (View Online).
- Go to File > Share > Embed this Workbook
- Set your embed settings on your file and copy the embed code.
- Go to your Waymaker Playbook.
- Add an "iFrame Section" to your page. See this guide if you need more information on adding sections.
- Past the embed code into your iFrame pop up. Adjust the height and width settings in the code. We recommend width="100%" height="800". However, adjust as per your needs.
- Move the page section up or down using the Section settings.
Based on your sharing settings users will be able to create, edit, view and interact with some or all sheets live from your SharePoint or MS Teams environment.
Please note the best performing browser for Microsoft embeds is generally MS Edge or Google Chrome.
